Executive Leadership Team

The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) of a school plays a vital role in setting the strategic direction, upholding the school’s values, and ensuring the highest standards of education and care for all pupils. Comprised of experienced senior leaders—typically including the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher(s), Assistant Headteacher(s), and key operational leads—the ELT works collaboratively to drive school improvement, monitor performance, and support staff across all areas of teaching and learning.

At the heart of the ELT’s role is a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and aspirational environment where every child can thrive. The team works closely with governors, staff, families, and the wider community to ensure the curriculum is broad, balanced, and responsive to the needs of all learners. Each member brings a distinct area of expertise—whether in curriculum development, pastoral support, safeguarding, or operational management—contributing to a well-rounded and forward-thinking leadership approach.

Through regular strategic planning, data analysis, and ongoing evaluation of teaching and outcomes, the ELT ensures that high expectations are maintained and that interventions are timely and effective. The team also plays a key role in developing staff through professional development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility. Ultimately, the Executive Leadership Team is the driving force behind the school’s vision and long-term success, working tirelessly to improve opportunities and outcomes for every pupil.
