Thomas Bewick Primary School are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the experienced learning support team in Key Stage 2. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers and specialist professionals to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including communication difficulties, autism spectrum disorder and behavioural and social needs.

Day to Day Duties:
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities both in and outside the classroom
- Adapt learning resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Assist with EHCP targets and individual development plans
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and external professionals
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
