Level 1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Band 2 £24,027 – £24,404 pro rata (actual £18,770 – £19,064)

Are you an ambitious, supportive and hardworking Higher Level Teaching Assistant? Are you looking for a new role where you can support children to achieve their full potential?
Castle School is looking for an experienced HLTA to join their team and support the children’s learning and development through classroom support, teaching, and intervention sessions.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
– Supporting the pupils consistently whilst also encouraging them to work independently by responding to their individual needs.
– Cover full classes in the event of class teacher absence.
– Providing the teacher with accurate and objective feedback on pupil progress and ensuring supporting evidence is available.
– Deliver learning activities to pupils within an agreed framework of supervision, adjusting activities to meet pupil needs.
– Plan and deliver intervention sessions with the students in line with the current curriculum.
– Work independently to provide preparation, planning and assessment (PPA) cover with a commitment to whole class teaching and working collaboratively with class teachers.
– Support the teacher with behaviour management and establish effective ways to encourage the class to engage.

Learning Support Assistant

Duke’s Secondary School has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to support the students and teachers through the busy academic year.
Day to day duties involve helping the students follow class instructions, supporting the teacher with behaviour management and helping to prepare lesson materials.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, organised and able to work both independently and as a part of a team in a busy classroom environment. You will assist the teacher with the delivery of the lesson and helping the students engage in activities.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support learners in their access of learning
- Encourage learners to engage in, and participate in learning activities set by the class teacher.
- Establish good relationships with learners, acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child.
- Support the teacher in the management of learner behaviour.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and resources required to meet learning activities and assist learners in their use.
