Salary: Band 3 £23,500 – £23,893 (actual £17,350 – £17,640)

Bishop’s Primary School have a unique opportunity for a SEN learning support assistant to work with the children and help them overcome their barriers to learning, such as social/behavioural difficulties and sensory or physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will support the children both inside and outside of the classroom, as some learning can take place away from the main teaching area. They will also work alongside other staff to help with tasks such as lesson preparation and maintenance of resources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and evaluate specialist learning activities with the teacher, writing reports and updating records as required.
- Monitor, assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment, as agreed with the teacher, drawing any problems which cannot be resolved to the attention of the teacher
- Understand and support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils as required.
- Work with pupils on therapy or care programmes, designed and supervised by a therapist/care professional
