Salary: Band 4 £24,294 – £25,979 pro rata, actual salary £9,650 – £10,320
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, term time only
Contract: Fixed term until August 2024

William Leech Primary School are looking for an inspiring, enthusiastic and resourceful Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join the existing early years team and deliver high quality standards of care and learning.

The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team and be flexible to adapt in a fast paced EYFS setting. In return, you will be a fundamental part of a fantastic early years team where your role and contribution will be valued and respected.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures.
  • Assess needs of children including emotional, developmental and social, and support with the development of individual support plans for the children.
  • Build and maintain relationships with pupils, parents and other member of staff in order to ensure the children are receiving the best possible support.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality.
