Salary: Band 3 (£23,500 – £23,893 pro rota) actual £17,800 – £18,100

Dukes Secondary School have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to support the students and teachers through another busy academic year.
Day to day duties involve helping the students follow class instructions, supporting the teacher with behaviour management and helping to prepare lesson materials.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, organised and able to work both independently and as a part of
a team in a busy classroom environment, assisting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson and helping the students engage in activities.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support students in the classroom to ensure that they have access to learning material and are on task.
- Encourage students to engage in the lesson and participate in activities set by the class teacher.
- Assist the class teacher with planning lessons and adjusting activities to suit the needs of the students as advised by the teacher.
- Establish positive, constructive relationships with students, staff, parents and careers.
- Maintain and update student records as advised by the class teacher to ensure student progress is tracked effectively.
