Salary: Band 3 £23,500 – £23,893 pro rota (actual £17,350 – £17,640)

James Knott Primary School are looking for a friendly, hardworking and creative intervention assistant to support staff and pupils throughout the busy school day.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils during learning activities and adapt materials to suit the needs of children who require additional encouragement.
  • Ensure documents and records are kept up to date in line with policy and procedure.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to ensure that the children receive the best possible support and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities to small groups of children as advised by the class teacher.
  • Ensure that the children have access to learning materials and are staying on task both in the classroom and outside of the main teaching area.
