Salary: Band 5 £26,421 – £29,269 pro rota (actual £22,790 – £25,250)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

There is currently and opportunity within the Trust as Castle School are looking for a friendly, hardworking and committed HLTA to work alongside an experienced team and support the children and young people within Castle.
The learners within Castle School have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties such as autism, and receive their education from a highly dedicated and experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants.
It is essential that the successful candidate is committed to providing the best opportunities to our pupils, and is able to create an environment where they can be inspired and learn in a purpose built provision that has facilities such as multi-sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and an independent living area.
Please note, interviews for this role will take place on Wednesday 3rd July.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Supervising small groups of children to encourage them to stay on task.
- Building positive relationships with students to help ensure that they feel comfortable and safe.
- Working with the class teacher to plan and implement suitable lessons that engage the children and aid their development.
- Developing and implementing IEP’s.
- Assessing the individual needs of the children and working to ensure they are supported as effectively as possible.
- Administering medication to pupils when necessary, in line with the schools policy.
