Salary: Band 4 £24,294 – £25,979 pro rota (actual £18,400 – £19,680)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

Bishop’s Primary School is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join an experienced and hardworking team of staff.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and encouraging towards the children to engage their curiosity and interest, whilst supporting their learning and development in a stimulating environment. A learning support assistant should be adaptable, flexible and a good communicator with the skills to support the children with their development.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
  • Devise and engage in the delivery of play care and learning activities. Takes responsibility for managing the provision of play, care and learning.
  • Ensure standards are met at all times and assist in the development and regular review of policies and procedures to be followed.
  • Contribute to reviews of children’s progress.
  • Be aware of and support difference and ensure all children have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
