Salary: Band 4 £22,369 – £24,054 (£16,952 – £18,229)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour and Intervention Assistant to join Duke’s Secondary School in September 2023 and support students facing specific behavioural, emotional, academic and/or social challenges.

This role is designed to encourage the students to develop and achieve through monitoring academic progress and ensuring appropriate learning behaviours are carried out in lessons and around school.

The successful candidate will be resilient, patient and professional when working with the students in environments such as the classroom, isolation room and interventions where necessary.

Daily roles and responsibilities include managing an identified cohort of learners and working on their individual action plans and reviews, communicating behaviour management processes with teachers and parents, and completing student welfare and progress documentation in line with policy and procedure.

The duties of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or level of responsibility entailed. You may be required to carry out additional duties commensurate with the level of the role.
