Salary: Band 2 £22,737 – £23,114 (actual £10,600 – £10,770)
Hours: 20 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days
Contract: Permanent

Warkworth Primary School are looking for an experienced Assistant Cook to support the busy kitchen and help provide nutritious meals for the children.
The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Catering Manager to help ensure that meal times run smoothly and the children receive delicious, well balanced meals to help them through the school day.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Assisting with basic food preparation, cooking and service of food and drinks.
- General kitchen duties, including washing up, cleaning equipment, cupboards, surfaces etc.
- Clearing the dining area and other service points after meal times, ensuring a high standard of hygiene is achieved.
- Ensuring any necessary documentation is completed in line with policy and procedure.
- Assisting with the receipt and storage of goods, stocktaking and completion of daily monitoring sheets.
- Supporting with special events as and when required.
