Salary: Band 5 – £26,421 – £29,269 pro rata (£23,370 – £25,890 actual)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 10 additional days

Do you want to join our existing Early Years team and be part of our expanding 2 year old provision within NCEA Trust?

We are looking for a committed and inspiring practitioner with experience of working with 2
to 3 year olds to join our team as Early Years Lead Practitioner initially to work in a new 2
year old provision opening in April at James Knott Primary School, part of NCEA Trust.


We require an experienced practitioner with leadership / management experience that can
share in our vision, be innovative to set up this new provision and deliver high quality
standards of care and learning. The position is full-time, term time only. The successful
candidate must have a relevant Level 3 qualification as a minimum, experience of having
responsibility within an EY provision and excellent communication skills. A willingness to
meet challenges with enthusiasm and to contribute as a team member is essential.


This is a hands-on role, and as the Early Years Lead Practitioner you would be responsible for
meeting the Statutory requirements of the EYFS and providing a safe, caring and nurturing
environment for both children and staff in our new 2 year old provision. Our existing Early
Years team believe in giving children exciting, fun learning experiences every day with
activities based around their likes and interests – encouraging their natural curiosity, helping them to become happy, confident little learners.
