Salary: Band 3 £23,500 – £23,893 pro rata (actual £20,690 – £21,030) 
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

Dukes Secondary School have a unique opportunity for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant/Admin Assistant to play a vital part both in the classroom and with general administrative tasks. 

This role will ideally be split 50/50, however this can vary depending on the requirements of the day. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable in both roles to help ensure that the day to day activities within the school run smoothly.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child.
  • Undertake structured and agreed teaching activities as directed by the class teacher of SEND team, adjusting activities according to student responses.
  • Encourage students to engage in, and participate in learning activities lead by the class teacher.
  • Take an active role in administrative duties in preparation for termly and annual reviews.
  • Provide general administration support, such as answering incoming calls and taking appropriate messages, greeting visitors, and preparing letters.
  • Keep manual and computerised records, including pupil records, up to date, providing reports where necessary.
