An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, dynamic, and hardworking ICT/ computing teacher to join the team at Dukes Secondary School. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and experience of teaching ICT and computing to KS3 as well as ICT at KS4 and KS5 (KS5 is preferable but not essential).

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons that are enjoyable for both the staff and students, whilst being suitable to the topic and year group.
  • Ensure that records are kept up to date so that student progress can be monitored and supported.
  • Liaise with other members of staff such as teachers, support staff and department heads to ensure that the students needs are being met.
  • Have a knowledge of current educational thinking and strategies to raise attainment, and be passionate about building positive relationships with young people to help them succeed.
  • Provide reports and other documentary evidence on students progress to parents as required throughout the year.
