Dukes Secondary School are a key part of NCEAT, and are looking for a talented science teacher to cover a maternity post from November/December 2023.
The ideal candidate will be keen to encourage the students learning and development, whilst creating an engaging learning environment that allows them to discover new skills and interests.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Planning, teaching and marking work in accordance with academy and departmental policy, following work schemes and curriculum as appropriate.
- Working with support staff such as teaching assistants to ensure that the students are supported effectively and consistently.
- Recording and monitoring the progress of individual students.
- Creating engaging and interactive lessons that are suitable to the key stage and in line with the curriculum.
- Celebrating learner achievement and promoting the values of the academy through everyday routines and practices.
- Providing a safe learning environment where students are supported and encouraged to challenge themselves and reach their full potential.
