Grace Darling Primary School are looking for a hardworking, personable and organised receptionist to join the team and play an important role in the day to day operational running of the school.

This ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide a high quality of clerical and administrative support, whilst building effective relationships and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Providing general administration support, such as answering incoming calls and taking appropriate messages, greeting visitors and guests, and distributing information to parents, staff and members of the public.
  • Organise computer based information, with the use of packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and MIS systems.
  • Ensure that the administration of any staff or pupil related activity or routine is completed accurately, and appropriately reported.
  • Take an active role in administrative duties in preparation for school events.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with pupils, parents and staff and other professionals at all times.  Communicate effectively using methods such as text, email, and telephone.
