Salary: Band 3, point range 5-6 (£15,930 – £16,220)
Hours: 32.5 hours a week, term time only

The trust is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and resourceful individuals to join our dedicated and hardworking team of learning support staff at Thomas Bewick Primary School.

Our goal is to appoint enthusiastic teaching assistants that are able to build strong relationships and engage effectively with the children in the school.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan and evaluate specialist learning activities with the teacher.
  • Writing reports and updating records as required to ensure that the pupils progress is recorded efficiently.
  • Implement learning activities and teaching programmes agreed with the class teacher with students who need additional support, in small groups or on a 1-1 basis.
  • Select and adapt appropriate learning materials and resources to suit the working level of the pupils, taking their individual abilities into account.
  • Understand the assessment arrangements for the pupils and provide support for them during this process.
