Salary: Band 5 point 12-18 (£24,496 – £27,344 pro rata) actual salary £21,132 – £23,589
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

The Trust have an exciting opportunity for a creative, energetic and enthusiastic HLTA to join a committed team at Castle School. The learners within Castle School have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties such as autism, and receive their education from a highly dedicated and experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants.
It is essential that the successful candidate is committed to providing the best opportunities to our pupils, and is able to create an environment where they can be inspired and learn in a purpose built provision that has facilities such as multi-sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and an independent living area.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Supervising small groups of children to encourage them to stay on task.
- Building positive relationships with students to help ensure that they feel comfortable and safe.
- Working with the class teacher to plan and implement suitable lessons that engage the children and aid their development.
- Developing and implementing IEP’s.
- Administering medication to pupils when necessary, in line with the schools policy.
