The role
Through our varied curriculum, we aim to develop well-rounded, skilled young people who aspire to the fullness of life and understand the role they have to play in their local communities. The Health and Safety Specialist forms part of the central services team who are a critical source of expertise, information and advice to our schools.
The Health and Safety Specialist will ensure the Trust meets its legal requirements and provide advice to the leadership team and coach the Head Teachers and their deputies to develop their understanding of general health and safety requirements, therefore a general awareness of health and safety legislation is required, along with a strong aptitude to coach and guide others.
A successful candidate for this role will be able to engage all stakeholders within an education environment to ensure that health and safety of all staff, students, contractors and visitors is understood and respected, and will embed a health and safety mind set within the minds of all critical leaders.
