Salary: £5.28 per hour (£8,699pa), increasing on successful probationary period
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 3 additional days

As an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner you will join our specialist apprenticeship programme which will provide you with hands on experience across some of our Early Year’s settings (Ashington/Newbiggin/Lynemouth) as well as your designated study time.
With the support of your mentor you will learn the skills you need to qualify as a confident experienced practitioner.
What we are looking for:
You must have an uplifting personality that will make every child smile, each and every day and a passion to provide the best care and education possible.
Throughout the course of the day you will have many varied roles;
If a child requests you be a Disney character, you will be the best character you can be.
The ability to sing in front of tiny humans is essential, however it’s not necessary to be in tune.
Being vigilant is of the utmost importance.
You must have the ability to read a story, upside down, with at least 5 interruptions per page.
And finally, you must be prepared to engage in lots of fun activities and be prepared to get messy.
The apprenticeship term is for 18 months, working 37 hours per week, term time plus 3 additional days.
