SALARY: Salary: Band 3, point 5-6 (£21,575 – £21.968 pro rata) actual salary £16,350 – £16,648

HOURS: 32.5 hours, term time plus 5 days

Bishop’s Primary School are currently looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the admin team and support the day to day operations of the school.

The purpose of this role is to provide routine clerical and administrative support to the school, whilst maintaining a high standard of professionalism and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Providing general administration support, such as answering incoming calls and taking appropriate messages, greeting visitors and guests, and distributing information to parents, staff and members of the public.
  2. Take an active role in administrative duties in preparation for school events.
  3. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
  4. Liaise with staff in other departments and with internal and external contacts.
  5. Organise computer based information, with the use of packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and MIS systems.
  6. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with pupils, parents and staff and other professionals at all times.  Communicate effectively using methods such as text, email, and telephone.
  7. Ensure that the associated administration of any staff or pupil related activity or routine is completed accurately, and appropriately reported.

The person undertaking this role is expected to work within the policies, ethos and aims of the school and to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be assigned. The duties of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or level of responsibility entailed. You may be required to carry out additional duties commensurate with the level of the role.
